Following the Budget 2023 announcement, the Free HSE Contraception Service will be extended to women aged 26 years with effect from 1st January 2023. Further extension of the scheme is planned to take place from 1st September 2023.

The Free HSE Contraception Service covers Contraception Consultation, fitting and removal of a Coil or contraceptive implant.
